4-20HR‑MaxSonar‑WR Products

Our industrial high-resolution outdoor 4mA to 20mA sensors have a robust PVC housing designed to meet IP67 water intrusion. These sensors provide short to long distance detecting and ranging with a narrow beam pattern. These ultrasonic outdoor sensors have high power output, noise rejection, auto calibration, temperature compensation, and factory calibrated beam patterns. Users should select the 4-20HR-MaxSonar-WR sensor with their outputs of choice and that matches their application. Models are available as 4mA to 20mA or 20-4mA output. On the 4-20mA output, 4mA is the minimum reported distance whereas 20mA being the maximum reported range. The 20-4mA outputs have this signal reversed.In addition to the standard 4-20HR-MaxSonar-WR exposed material, MaxBotix Inc. has developed the F-Option for additional protection necessary in a few hazardous chemical environments. Extremely corrosive gases or liquids can degrade or compromise the operation of the sensing unit. As a result, we offer a more chemically inert seal which allows our sensors to operate in all but the harshest chemical environments. In addition to the chemical resistance the sensor has improved performance in wet or dust environments.

4-20SC‑MaxSonar‑WR Products

The 4-20SC MaxSonar-WR sensors are industrial, high-resolution, ultrasonic detectors. Featuring hardy PVC housing that is specifically designed to satisfy IP67 water intrusion standards, these sensors provide short to long distance detection and ranging with a narrow beam pattern. The 4-20SC-MaxSonar-WR ultrasonic detectors have high power output, auto calibration, noise rejection, factory calibrated beam patterns, and even temperature compensation. It is recommended for users to select the right sensor that suits their application. We have models available in 4-20mA or a 20-4mA output. By choosing the 4-20mA output, note that 4mA is the minimum reported distance with 20mA being the maximum reported range; the 20-4mA outputs have this signal reversed.The 4-20SC-MaxSonar-WR sensor line features an effective self-cleaning capability designed to reduce the impact of condensation in closed or high-moisture (dew, frost, etc.) environments. The 4 20SC MaxSonar WR offers a controlled narrow beam designed to reject small objects (clutter) outside of the central beam area and provides long range sensitivity without detecting frivolous or unwanted targets.

HRXL‑MaxSonar‑WR Products

The HRXL-MaxSonar-WR is an industrial, high-resolution outdoor ultrasonic sensor with a tough PVC casing that is manufactured to meet IP67 water intrusion guidelines. With a narrow beam pattern, these sensors provide ranging and detection at both short and long distances. If you’re choosing an outdoor beam sensor, it is encouraged to select one that suits your desired application. This will ensure detection and precision. These outdoor ultrasonic sensors are available with analog voltage output and pulsed width output while select models are available in RS232 Serial output or TTL Serial output. I2CXL-MaxSonar-WR Products

The IP67 rated MaxSonar-WR sensors are now available with an I2C bus interface. This allows for up to 127 sensors to be operated on a single bus interface for multi‑sensor operation. The I2CXL-MaxSonar-WR is a weather resistant I2C distance sensor designed for outdoor detection and ranging. The weather resistant I2CXL-MaxSonar-WR is a rugged ultrasonic sensor component module. This outdoor I2C distance sensor provides very short to long distance detection and ranging in a compact, robust PVC housing. The ultrasonic sensor meets the IP67 water intrusion standard and matches standard electrical 3/4‑inch PVC pipe fittings.High output acoustic power combined with continuously variable gain, real-time background automatic calibration, real-time waveform signature analysis, and noise rejection algorithms results in virtually noise free distance readings. This holds true even in the presence of many of the various acoustic or electrical noise sources. These I2C distance sensors are factory calibrated to match narrow sensor beam patterns and provide reliable long-range detection zones.
