Product Description
Features of the weather resistant MB7850, Tank Sensor, include centimeter resolution, short to long distance detection, range information from 5cm to 650cm for the liquid level detection, a ~4Hz read rate, and three simultaneously available outputs: a real-time analog voltage envelope, a scaled analog voltage, and serial communication in either RS232 or TTL format.
The MB7850 Tank Sensor is a low‑cost liquid level monitoring sensor that uses ultrasonic technology for non-contact sensing. The MB7850 is designed to be an easy to use sensor for applications where liquid level detection is desired. This sensor is great for use in containers that are typically difficult for ultrasonic devices such as tanks, barrels, and bins. This is because the MB7850 has a teach feature (only available if using serial communication), that can train the sensor what an empty container looks like. This helps allow the sensor to range properly even in the presence of otherwise detectable obstructions like corrugation.
The MB7850 is factory calibrated to match sensor beam patterns and provide reliable long-range detection zones.
In addition, the MB7850 offers virtually noise free distance readings through the use of high-output acoustic power combined with continuously variable gain, real‑time background automatic calibration, real‑time waveform signature analysis, and noise rejection algorithms. This holds true even in the presence of many of the various acoustic or electrical noise sources.
