The MaxSonar® Product
Continuous Improvement History
The MaxSonar® product line has experienced steady continued growth since product inception. Early customer satisfaction, and distributor acceptance, created the platform for incremental product improvement and growth.
· In December 2005, the MaxSonar®-EZ1TM was released for sale to the public.
· In January 2007, MaxBotix® Inc., released the LV-MaxSonar®-EZ1TM. By design, this new product, has wide operating voltage (2.5V – 5.5V, i.e. 3.3V & 5V operation) and also provided more reliable distance readings. At this same time product testing was improved with the addition of the pendulum test, (where 100% of our product is tested for moving object reading reliability).
· In April 2007, testing was improved again, this time to eliminate shipping any sensors that would sometimes remain continually stating a distance of 6” (until a power-down reset the sensor).
· In June 2007, MaxBotix® Inc., began offering the MaxSonar®-UT high performance ultrasonic transducer for sale as an individual item..
· In July 2007,MaxBotix® Inc,. expanded their product line into 4 additional LV-MaxSonar®-EZ sensors(EZ0TM, EZ2TM, EZ3TM & EZ4TM) where each sensor is provided with a factory calibrated beam width.
· MaxBotix® Inc., is committed to engineering affordable high-performance sensor solutions that match our customer’s needs. Additional products are in process at this time.
